There has been post after post on here on "getting things done." I figured one more wouldn't hurt. Kelle Sparta, of Realtor Magazine Online wrote a great article in the "Sales Coach" section called Stop Dreaming, Start Doing. It was a goodie!
To summarize part of what she wrote, she classified us into two categories:
What is the difference in them? According to Kelle a "dreamer sets lofty goals that, consciously or not,... don't believe they can ever actually fulfill," and a doer "puts their plans into action."
She says that the way to move from being a dreamer to being a doer is to start setting goals.
According to the article, here is some good goal setting advice:
1. "Make each goal a "have to," not a "nice to."
2. "Be really, really specific. "
3. "Get real."
4. "Get in problem-solver mode."
5. "Track your results."
6. "Set a deadline and stick to it."
7. "Find fun ways to motivate yourself."
I often comment on many of the articles that I read on goal setting and transforming your business that it is amazing what some common sense will do to change your life.
So they question remains, are you a doer or a dreamer? Only you can make that change.
